At Rest

“I am at rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my stronghold; I will never be shaken.”
Psalm 62:1-2 HCSB

I am at rest in God alone,
Here at His feet, before His throne,
Enraptured in His loving care
While spending time with Him in prayer.

For God, my refuge strong and sure,
Through whom my hope and faith endure,
He is the Rock on which I stand.
I’m safely held in His right hand.

So though the world press hard on me,
If I remain here, at His knee,
And trust that He’ll do what is best,
Then in His arms I am at rest.

 “Rest in God alone, my soul,
for my hope comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my stronghold; I will not be shaken.
My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock.
My refuge is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts before Him.
God is our refuge. Selah”
Psalm 62:5-8 HCSB
