Let It Flow (sing-a-long)

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

She walked along a busy street
There, in a foreign land,
And felt someone beside her reach
To take hold of her hand.

She glanced at once to see
Just who might be so bold.
It was a little child,
Shivering from the cold.

His eyes were crossed, his nose a mess,
Dirt across his little face and chest.
But all that she could really see…
A child in need.

Let it flow. Let it flow -
The love of Jesus Christ.
Let it flow. Let it flow.
Don’t keep it locked inside.
Reach out with
Jesus’ love today.
Let the whole world know
He is the Truth, He’s the Life, the Way!

She scooped him up and held him close,
Looked deep into his eyes.
And there she saw Someone she knew –
Her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She smiled sweetly down at him;
Said, “Jesus loves you;” and he grinned.
The words she spoke were strange but true…
And then he knew.

Let it flow. Let it flow -
The love of Jesus Christ.
Let it flow. Let it flow.
Don’t keep it locked inside.
Reach out with
Jesus’ love today.
Let the whole world know
He is the Truth, He’s the Life, the Way!

For that’s how Jesus loves, not based on what He sees.
He simply chooses to because He knows our desperate need.
And that’s the love that we can offer others, too,
When we allow Christ’s love to flow through me and you.

Let it flow. Let it flow -
The love of Jesus Christ.
Let it flow. Let it flow.
Don’t keep it locked inside.
Reach out with
Jesus’ love today.
Let the whole world know
He is the Truth, He’s the Life, the Way!
