I have a God who weeps for me
When in my sin I cannot see
That He’s the answer; He’s the Way,
If only I would trust, today.
I have a God who died for me,
Knowing that in myself I’d be
Condemned by sin; forever lost,
But for His death upon the cross.
I have a God who sings for me,
Rejoicing when at last I see
That He’s my Shepherd, Lord, and King,
My saving Grace, my Everything.
I have a God whose name is Love.
He came down from His throne above
To weep, then die…then sing for me.
Such wondrous grace! How can it be?
And friend, He loves and weeps for you
In longing that you’d know Him, too.
“As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city,
he wept over it and said,
‘If you, even you, had only known on this
day what would bring you peace—
but now it is hidden from your eyes.’”
