Riding the Wind Currents

“I carried you on eagles’ wings
and brought you to myself.”
Exodus 19:4 NIV
I watched the birds out soaring as
The storm came rolling in.
They simply stretched their wings, and let
The currents carry them.
They didn’t try to fight the storm,
But let those currents guide
As on the stormy winds they seemed
To effortlessly glide.
Is there a storm on your horizon
That’s concerning you?
Perhaps the Lord is sending it.
If so, here’s what to do:
Adjust your wings to catch His current
So that you can soar
To heights He has prepared for you,
Where you’ve not been, before.
Don’t fight against Him; spread your wings,
And let Him carry you;
For it’s part of His sovereign plan,
And He will see you through.
“but those who hope in the Lord
 will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
