Meet Me in the Eye of Your Storm

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

“Like the eye of a storm, peace prevails in God’s presence,
even when chaos ensues all around. God has a sacred place
of immunity from anything outside His will for us.
He will meet you there…”
* Priscilla Shirer

Though a storm is raging all around you,
And though you’ve been beset by doubts and cares,
There is a place of peace amid the fury.
My child, look for Me, for I’ll be there.

I’ll meet you in the center of your storm;
And there, you’ll find a respite for your soul
As I remind you I am there with you;
And have the storm within my full control.

Then, when it’s time, I’ll call out, “Peace, be still!”
And you will see your storm bend to My will.

“And [Jesus] arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
Peace, be still. And the wind ceased,
and there was a great calm.”
Mark 4:39
