Look Up!

“…the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.”
Isaiah 30:18a NIV
My child, from in the pit of your despair,
Look up to Me; I’m closer than a prayer.
My hand is reaching now; oh, can you see?
I’m longing so to draw you close to Me.
Don’t worry ‘bout the mire surrounding you.
My hand is strong enough to pull you through.
My mercy looks beyond its filthy stain;
And in my grace, I’ll wash away the pain.
For I desire to bathe you in My grace;
To have you know My peace, and seek My face;
For you to feel forgiveness set you free;
To see you lift your head, to follow Me.
And when you look up, Child, you’ll find it’s true –
That I’ve been right here, waiting just for you.
“So, look up. When you do, you’ll see the eyes
of a merciful Father looking back with open arms
to gather you back to Himself.”
