“Be Brave. And do not pray for the hard thing to go away.
But pray for a bravery to come that’s bigger than the hard thing.”
*Ann Voskamp
Be brave; not praying that the hardest things would go away,
But asking for the grace and strength to face them, day by day.
God says it time, and time again within His holy Word:
“Be strong and be courageous!” Let your heart, my friend, be stirred
With confidence in Father God, in His trustworthy plan,
In His great love and mercy, and the strength of His right hand.
For He won’t call us to a place without meeting us there,
With His ear bent to listen as we come to Him in prayer,
Then step up to the challenge that, with confidence, He gave.
He’s promised us the victory. It’s time now to be brave.
“Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,
for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NIV
