Climbing Today’s Mountain

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13 NKJV

O Lord, though I am weary,
I’ll keep climbing this hill,
For further up this mountain
The sun is shining still.

Though here below the storm clouds
Are threatening my way,
I see, up on this mountain,
The light of a new day.

So give me strength to climb, Lord.
For I can do all things
Like facing this big mountain, and
the challenges it brings.

“…here I [Caleb] am this day, eighty-five years old.
As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me;
just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war…
Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day;
for you heard in that day how the [giants] were there,
and that the cities were great and fortified.
It may be that the Lord will be with me,
and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”
Joshua 14:10b-12 NKJV
