Standing on the promises, when all my strength is gone;
Standing only in the strength of Christ, alone;
Clinging to the One who sits upon the throne;
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Singing with the saints of God, I’ll praise His name;
Even though my voice may fail, I’ll feel no shame
For the joy of Christ, in me, is still the same;
I’m singing of the joy and grace of God.
Resting in the peace of God, though fears assail;
Resting, even though I can’t see through the veil;
Knowing that the grace of God will still prevail;
I’m resting in the precious peace of God.
Standing on His promises; singing of His grace;
Looking forward to the day I’ll see His face;
Resting in the peace of Heaven’s warm embrace;
Living out the wondrous grace of God.
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us
unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.…
this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.”
