He Came and Found Me Anyway

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Luke 19:10 NIV

In restlessness, I followed after worldly lures and dreams;
And told myself that I would be okay.
I was so lost, I didn’t even know how far I’d gone.
But in God’s grace, He came and found me, anyway.

He called my name, while I was lost in sin.
He touched my heart, and made me whole, within.
‘Twas not what I deserved, for in my sin I would have stayed.
But in His grace, He came and found me, anyway.

In foolishness, I said I had no need of Him;
And from that firm belief, I would not stray.
For Satan kept me blinded in my arrogance and pride.
But in God’s grace, He came and found me, anyway.

He called my name, while I was lost in sin.
He touched my heart, and made me whole, within.
‘Twas not what I deserved, for in my sin I would have stayed.
But in His grace, He came and found me, anyway.

You knew my sin had left me with a debt I couldn’t pay…
Oh thank You, Lord, You came and found me, anyway.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
