Fashion My Heart

“During the process of prayer,
He is fashioning a heart like His.”
~ Jennifer Kennedy Dean*
Lord, as I kneel in prayer today,
Surrendered to Thy will,
As I lift up my face to Thine,
My heart now quiet and still,
Lord, place Thine hands upon me
Till I soften to Thy touch.
Then mold me to the image of
The One I love so much.
Fashion my heart to be as His -
So yielded to Thine own.
Yes, Father, that’s the prayer I bring
This day, before Thy throne.
For I would be a vessel, Lord,
To pour Thine heart into;
That when I come to Thee I’d pray
As Thou wouldst have me to.
“And the vessel that he made of clay was marred
In the hand of the potter;
So he made it again into another vessel,
As it seemed good to the potter to make.”
Jeremiah 18:4 NKJV
