For All of These We Praise Thee, Again

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5 NKJV

Aspens lifting golden leaves,
Turquoise foam on rolling seas,
Honeysuckle on the breeze;
For all of these, Lord, we praise Thee.

Amber fields of waving grain,
Crystal drops from summer rain,
Crickets hum a sweet refrain;
For all of these, Lord, we praise Thee.

Cotton-clouds drift slowly by,
Sunsets painted in the sky,
Hoot-owl sings a lullaby;
For all of these, Lord, we praise Thee.

Our God, enthroned in majesty,
Who spoke the words that came to be
This wondrous world we touch…hear…see;
For all of these, Lord, we praise Thee.
