Right on Time

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

God never comes too early,
Nor is He ever late.
But sometimes He may ask us
To hurry up, or wait.
The key: just keep in step.
And that means we must be
In tune with every subtle move;
Giving Him the lead.
Then, we’ll need never worry;
We’ll have His peace of mind,
Knowing that God’s faithful, and
He’s always right on time.
“Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
So when he heard that Lazarus was sick,
he stayed where he was two more days...
So then he told [His disciples] plainly, ‘Lazarus is dead…’
When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him,
she fell at his feet and said, ‘Lord, if you had been here,
my brother would not have died.’ Then Jesus said,
‘Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see
the glory of God?’ Jesus called in a loud voice,
‘Lazarus, come out!’ The dead man came out …
Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary,
and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in him.”
