I’m waiting for Your hand to come and lead me home.
I know my days on earth are drawing to a close.
And as I wait, I praise Your precious, holy name
With all the joy and strength, in me, that still remains.
Lord, those I love surround me, as my strength subsides.
I see the anguish that they try so hard to hide.
Please give to them the overwhelming sense of peace
That, through Your Spirit, you’ve already given me.
Oh Father, let them know I will not go alone,
For angels will escort me to my Heavenly home;
Where I will gaze into the very eyes of Love
That I have found myself, so often, thinking of.
I’m ready, Lord; and one more little thing I pray…
Grant me the grace to bless my loved ones, here, today.
"And now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in You."
Psalm 39:7
