Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

Before my mother even knew,
And long before the world could see,
God’s loving hands already moved
With careful skill, so wonderfully.
He formed me, of His own design;
And knew me, in that secret place
Where only He could see my form,
And memorize my tiny face.
And all the years that lay ahead
Were written ere I came to be.
Oh, what a wondrous thought to know
How much my Father cares for me.
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:13-14 NIV
