Lessons from Rosemary in the School of Life

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

Flowing out from every pore,
Grace from God, sufficient for
The hour at hand.
Grace to see that God is love;
That every gift is from above;
Grace to understand
That though today’s gifts may not seem
The answer many hoped would be,
It is His plan.
And it is good.

Then radiating from her face,
A peace that’s birthed from that same grace –
The peace of Christ;
Beyond what we can comprehend,
That gift from God especially when
The time arrives
To open hands in firm belief
The gift from God to be received
Is greater life.
And it is good.

Sweet Rosemary, you’ve taught us well.
Perhaps the passing time will tell
How much we’ve learned -
Of courage found to face the fight,
Of strength enough to hold on tight;
Faith undeterred.
And eyes to see God’s loving hand
Even when we don’t understand
But know the Word –
That God is good…
All the time.

Thank you, Rosemary !
You are
ever loving,
always teaching,
forever in our hearts

“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in [Rosemary],
these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9 NKJV
