I’ll Be Seeing You

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

So long my friends. We’ll meet again
Somewhere beyond the blue,
Where I will wait at Heaven’s gate
To one day welcome you.
And you will see, along with me,
The beauty of this place
Where there’s no night, for glorious light
Shines out from Jesus’ face.
And golden streets lead to His feet
Where He wipes every tear;
For there’s no grief, only relief
As there’s no sorrow, here.
Such joy abounds; and grace surrounds
The very air we breathe.
And rivers flow where orchards grow
With healing in their leaves.
So know, my friends, it’s not the end;
God’s promises are true -
Such joy I feel, for Heaven’s real,
And I’ll be seeing you…
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”
Revelation 21:4 KJV
