No Matter Where They Go, He’s There

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

No matter if each child is home,
Tucked safely in their bed;
Or in a far off country, sleeping
With the stars o’er head;
No matter if their shining faces
Smile at you, each day;
Or if their voice comes just by phone,
From somewhere far away;
When they’re beneath the Father’s wing,
It will not matter where.
Our children are the safest in
His watchful, tender care.
So even when you can’t be there
To tell each one goodnight,
The One who loves them even more
Will never leave their side.
“If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.”
Psalm 139:9-10 NLT
