Come lead me, Savior, through this day with You.
Take hold of both my hands,
The way a father, with his child, would do.
Then guide each step my childish feet would go.
Be there to redirect me if
My stubborn pride begins to show.
And when I do inevitably fall,
Please gently brush me off, reminding me
That You are there if I should call.
And when I lay me down to sleep tonight,
Please whisper dreams of Heavenly things
Until You wake me with the morning light.
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:5 KJV
