Dear friend, I have not borne the pain
You’ve struggled so to hide.
I have not seen the darkness that
Is haunting you inside.
I have not heard the harsh words that
Discourage day by day.
I cannot tell you how to feel,
To think, or what to say.
But I do have a Friend who knows
Your every thought and care.
The Lord is waiting, even now…
Just go to Him in prayer.
Then listen very closely, for
He’s gentle, good, and kind.
He longs to be the shelter that
You thought you’d never find.
But when you turn to Him, remember
First to count the cost.
For He will ask of you the life
He purchased on the cross.
He will not promise health or riches;
Freedom from all pain.
Instead, He says He’ll bring you through,
To find your loss is gain.
So will you now release your burdens,
Truly give your heart,
And fully trust His loving plan
To give you a new start?
I cannot make this choice for you;
But urge you as a friend.
For you will find it’s worth it to
Surrender all to Him.
“Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 KJV
