I'm Coming, Lord

 “Take time to be holy, the world rushes on…”
(from the hymn, ‘Take Time To Be Holy’
by William D. Longstaff)

I’m coming, Lord; I’ll be there soon.
Oh my…is it already noon?
I’ve so much, Lord, to do today,
But soon, I’ll take some time to pray.

Wow, it’s already half-past two;
But I’ve a few more things to do.
I’ll just get supper, Lord, You’ll see;
And then I’ll have some time for Thee.

There’s homework, chores, and baths to do;
One minute, Lord, I’m almost through.
My bed awaits; I snuggle in –
Oh! I forgot Thee, Lord, again.

Tomorrow, Lord – just wait and see;
I’m sure I’ll have more time for Thee…

“Sow for yourselves righteousness;
Reap in mercy;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the LORD…”
Hosea 10:12
