Crucified...And Yet I Live

Written by Lisa DeVinney on . Posted in poetry

“I have been crucified with Christ;
it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 NKJV
Since I’m already crucified with Christ,
Then I won’t fear what man can do to me.
For I’ve already given Him my life,
And I am His for all eternity.
So if some persecution should ensue,
Though harm may reach these earthly flesh and bones,
The very worst the enemy could do
Is usher me into my Heavenly home.
So, dead in Christ, I can now fully live
Through Jesus Christ who lives and works in me.
And by His strength and grace, I gladly give
All glory to my precious Lord and King.
“The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
Psalm 118:6 NKJV
